The National Championship Series is designed to provide you with a clear path that will take you to your professional goal, no matter what game you play.
What IS the NCS?
At its core, the NCS is an umbrella of tournaments and events that provide an avenue for YOU to improve your skills and go from casual gamer to aspiring esports athlete. We've structured the NCS into four tiers: Academies, Minors, Majors, and Grand Finals.
The first tier, Academy, is where most players will begin their NCS LAN experience. These tournaments include bootcamps, fireside gatherings, and showcases--and there are going to be a TON of them. Academy tournaments may not always have a prize pot, but when they do, they can get as high as $1,000.
You'll see NCS Minors a few times a month all over the country. At this level, you'll have your shot at better competition, guaranteed prize pools pushing $5,000, and, of course, more NCS Points. These Points and other qualification opportunities will lead you to the next rung on the ladder: the NCS Majors.
Getting to an NCS Major is only half the battle because at this tier, competition will be some of the fiercest you've seen yet. Playing among some of the top-ranked players in the amateur esports circuit, you'll be competing for a shot at prize pots over $10,000, and potentially hundreds of NCS Points.
NCS Grand Final
With prize pools starting at $30,000, these tournaments are truly meant to showcase your talent at the national level. Crowds from across the country will gather at partner locations or at our very own 18,000 square foot Localhost Arena in Denver, Colorado. Colleges, professional teams, sponsors--all of their eyes will be on you.
